The Joint Interagency Task Force 401 has selected Anduril Industries' Lattice software as its tactical command and control solution for counter-unmanned aerial system operations, the company announced Monday.The $87 million contract is the first task order under the Army's recently announced enterprise agreement with Anduril. JIATF-401 coordinates counter-drone efforts across the Defense Department and broader federal government.Drone proliferation has expanded beyond the battlefield to domestic military installations, other government strategic sites and national critical infrastructure, according to the announcement. Officials said disparate systems operating in isolation are insufficient to address the threat.Lattice integrates sensors and effectors — including legacy and newly fielded systems — to enable detection, tracking, classification and engagement of drone threats within seconds. The software draws on operational lessons learned from deployments worldwide and is updated continuously using commercial software development practices.The platform was most recently selected as the Army's next-generation fire control capability for counter-drone missions under the Integrated Battle Command System Maneuver program.Defense Department officials said the contract reflects a broader push toward acquisition reform, establishing flexible procurement pathways to deliver proven commercial technology to warfighters more quickly. The enterprise agreement is intended to allow government organizations to procure, deploy and sustain improving counter-drone software at scale.
