General Atomics Aeronautical Systems is investing in six Dutch tech companies through its Blue Magic Netherlands program, following a startup pitch event in Eindhoven. The partnerships focus on drone autonomy, AI, batteries, navigation in GPS-denied environments, haptics, and data security, expanding GA-ASI’s collaboration with the Dutch defense innovation ecosystem.
Wing and Walmart announced expansion of their drone delivery network into seven additional U.S. metro areas, including Philadelphia, Phoenix and San Francisco Bay Area. The move will extend service to nearly 20 markets as the companies scale toward reaching more than 40 million Americans by 2027.
Joint Interagency Task Force 401 evaluated the SkyValor counter-drone system during operational testing at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona. The system demonstrated the ability to detect, track, identify and defeat small unmanned aerial systems while supporting layered border security operations.
Swarm Aero has selected Honeywell Aerospace’s TPE331 turboprop engine to power its large-scale, multi-mission Group 5 uncrewed aircraft system. The companies are collaborating on aircraft design, development and operations as Swarm advances production of its next-generation UAV platform.
Ouster Inc. and ARGUS Interception GmbH have announced a strategic agreement to integrate Ouster digital lidar into ARGUS's A1-Falke net-based counter-drone interceptors. The partnership aims to improve the precision and reliability of non-kinetic drone capture operations, particularly in safety-sensitive environments protecting critical infrastructure and public spaces. The companies will also explore next-generation capabilities using Ouster's new Rev8 digital lidar platform.
