Cucuyo and Cavok UAS Successfully Complete First Flight Tests

Tests mark a significant step forward in the integration of the Cucuyo P- 100 laser communication terminal into Cavok UAS drones

Cucuyo and Cavok UAS announced that they have successfully completed the first flight tests of Cucuyo's P-100 airborne laser communication terminal installed on Cavok UAS drones. A total of twelve tests were conducted in Spain to validate the integration of key systems and pave the way for future product development advances.

The flight tests followed in-depth physical and mechanical integration phases and simulated conditions that closely reflect real-world operational scenarios. The tests with Cucuyo's P-100 laser communication terminal were carried out in collaboration with Cavok UAS France, skilled engineers from Cavok Spain and experienced test pilots. Spain was chosen as the test location because it provides an ideal environment for evaluating performance.

The flight tests exceeded expectations, and all predefined objectives were achieved. The results will serve as basis for the next phase of technical development of the laser communication terminal. This includes incorporating a new version of the terminal for further testing, with the focus on the robustness of data link itself.
