U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy unveiled a new proposed rule – Beyond Visual Line of Sight. This rule will unleash American innovation and safely integrate unmanned aircraft systems into the national airspace system.
The NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) has selected American autonomous drone leader Skydio, alongside its European partner COBBS BELUX BV, as part of a new agreement to supply and support small ISR drones across NATO member nations within the Uncrewed Aerial Systems Support Partnership.
Northrop Grumman Corporation announced the first six strategic partners who will use its Beacon™ testbed ecosystem to rapidly test and deliver new autonomous solutions at scale. Partners will test and refine their solutions using the Scaled Composites-built Model 437 aircraft, along with Northrop Grumman’s proven flight autonomy hardware and integration expertise, during a series of flight demonstrations planned for this year.
Swift Engineering has received a Phase II award through NASA’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program to advance its Swift Ultra Long Endurance (SULE) platform system. The funding will support development and flight demonstrations of the SULE system, which is designed to operate in the stratosphere for extended durations.
