Australian counter-drone technology company DroneShield and Dutch tactical mobility specialist Defenture have signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at developing and marketing mobile counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) capabilities for military and security customers.The companies announced the agreement Tuesday during Eurosatory 2026, one of the world's largest defense and security exhibitions, held in Paris.Under a memorandum of understanding, DroneShield and Defenture will combine their respective technologies to create mobile air defense and counter-drone solutions capable of operating in dynamic and contested environments. The partnership brings together DroneShield's expertise in counter-UAS sensors, electronic warfare systems, software, command-and-control platforms and operational support with Defenture's tactical vehicle platforms and mobility solutions.The companies said they will collaborate on customer engagement, testing programs, interoperability initiatives and joint commercial opportunities. The agreement also includes plans to integrate DroneShield's current and future counter-drone technologies onto Defenture vehicles, including the Mammoth and GRF platforms.Officials from both companies said the partnership reflects growing demand from military and security organizations for highly mobile systems capable of detecting, tracking and countering evolving drone threats.DroneShield Chief Commercial Officer Louis Gamarra said armed forces increasingly require scalable counter-UAS capabilities that can be rapidly deployed and remain effective in changing operational conditions. He described the partnership as a way to combine complementary technologies and pursue opportunities in key defense markets.Defenture board member Roderick Toutenhoofd said the proliferation of drones on modern battlefields has created a need for mobile protective systems that can accompany military units in the field. He said integrating DroneShield's counter-drone technologies with Defenture's vehicle platforms would help provide customers with practical and operationally relevant protection against aerial threats.The companies said the agreement establishes a framework for future cooperation as European and allied defense organizations continue to expand investments in counter-drone capabilities amid growing concerns over unmanned aircraft threats.
