Aaronia AG unveiled the AARTOS Hawk T1 at Eurosatory 2026, introducing an airborne RF geolocation system designed to extend drone detection capabilities beyond traditional ground-based platforms.

Mounted as a payload on commercial multi-rotor or fixed-wing drones, the Hawk T1 uses Blind Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA) technology to detect and geolocate RF emitters in real time, including drone operators, FPV links, LoRa ground stations, GPS spoofers, jammers and radar signals. The system is designed to provide position and classification data directly to ground-based command centers, helping create a more comprehensive operational picture in challenging terrain and rapidly changing threat environments.

Weighing less than 5 kilograms, the Hawk T1 is engineered for rapid deployment and integration into existing drone platforms. It is built on Aaronia’s SPECTRAN V6 real-time spectrum analyzer and features an integrated high-performance computing unit for signal processing in GPS-degraded or jammed environments. The system covers frequencies from 10 MHz to 8 GHz, with an optional range extending to 18 GHz, and can geolocate signals with an accuracy of up to 25 by 25 meters.

According to Aaronia, field deployments have demonstrated that a network of three Hawk T1 systems can geolocate LoRa-based drone ground stations at distances of up to 75 kilometers. The company said the system can also detect and localize unknown or encrypted signals while integrating with existing AARTOS counter-drone architectures. The launch expands the operational scope of the AARTOS platform, which is deployed at more than 700 sites worldwide, including major international airports and high-profile security events.
