MatrixSpace enhances airspace during Flytrap 5.0 exercise

MatrixSpace is supporting the Flytrap 5.0 U.S. Army exercise in Lithuania with portable radar and AI technology that enhances detection of low-altitude drone threats. Its systems improve airspace awareness and extend the effectiveness of existing counter-drone defenses.

MatrixSpace has introduced Fusion 360, a portable, multi-sensor system that fuses radar, optical and RF/Remote ID data to deliver verified, real-time counter‑drone awareness. The platform reduces false alarms, identifies dark drones and provides a unified airspace picture for high‑risk environments.

MatrixSpace has upgraded its AI-native edge-to-cloud platform to enable real-time, multi-sensor, multi-drone detection for counter-UAS operations, delivering faster threat identification and unified airspace awareness across complex environments like critical infrastructure and public venues.

MatrixSpace Inc. was named the top performer in DIU’s Counter-UAS Low-Cost Sensing challenge, earning $500,000 for its scalable, AI-enabled sensing solution. The competition highlighted cost-effective technologies designed to strengthen layered defense and rapidly deliver counter-drone capabilities to the warfighter.

MatrixSpace announced the launch of its Portable 360 Radar, a compact AI-enabled system designed to provide rapid, panoramic airspace awareness for counter-drone missions in demanding environments. The system offers low-power, portable radar capabilities with AI edge processing and enterprise-level command integration. Already adopted by major corporations and U.S. government agencies, the technology has demonstrated strong performance in field testing, including winning best active sensor in the Army’s recent xTechCounter Strike competition.

MatrixSpace has been named the active sensor winner in the U.S. Army’s Operation Flytrap 4.5 xTechCounter Strike competition, standing out as the only active-sensing provider among 15 finalists. The company demonstrated rapid deployment, seamless FAAD-C2 integration and AI-powered radar capability. The win includes a $350,000 award and entry into the Army’s new G-TEAD Marketplace for streamlined procurement.

Aerospace technology provider Sagetech Avionics has selected AI sensing system innovator MatrixSpace to support its advanced airspace solutions. Sagetech Avionics empowers safe flight in crewed and uncrewed aircraft with certifiable situational awareness solutions, serving military, public and commercial organizations.

MatrixSpace, a leader in AI-enhanced radar sensing technology, announced that MatrixSpace 360 Radar is using Dell Technologies AI-powered edge computing to enhance its radar sensor solutions.

HSWERX, the Department of Homeland Security’s innovation hub, awarded MatrixSpace Radar to provide advanced air detection to support uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) operations. The technology has potential applications across a variety of mission environments, including the DHS Customs and Border Protection agency.

MatrixSpace announced that the Palm Springs Police Department (PSPD) has expanded its Drone as First Responder program, establishing the largest first responder agency coverage area (37 square miles) monitored by radar sensors instead of humans in the United States.
