BAE Systems has been selected by Boeing to upgrade and modernize the vehicle management system computer for the U.S. Navy’s MQ-25 unmanned aerial refueling system. The technology refresh will increase computing power and address obsolescence issues, providing the unmanned aerial tanker with an integrated solution that improves aircraft performance and allows for future capability growth.

BAE Systems has acquired Malloy Aeronautics – a leading company in heavy lift drone and aeronautical technologies. BAE Systems and Malloy will further develop Malloy's existing portfolio and accelerate new and novel technologies.

BAE Systems and QinetiQ have signed a framework agreement which will see both parties collaborate in the area of autonomous uncrewed air systems and mission management systems.
