The Vidar Group, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business comprised of current and former military operators, will provide support to the Royal Netherlands Air Force Aircrews’ Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Training.

The Vidar Group utilizes staff with qualifications such as Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC) from the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, and U.S. Navy to provide realistic, live-fly training missions, aircrew flight simulation scenarios, formal classroom instruction, and radio communication training to its global customers. Since 2017, The Vidar Group has trained 100S of Governments and Military Aircrews from around the globe, enabling them to be uniquely qualified for real-world missions following training.

The Vidar Group has become an integral part of the expansion at Grand Sky Business Park, giving access to some of the most talented subject matter experts in a location exceptionally conducive for RPA missions. By working with local landowners in the surrounding area, Vidar gives aircrews a live simulation of missions they will see in the future. North Dakota serves as a superior location to simulate austere environments, arctic conditions, and even barren terrain.

“Our team has utilized RPAs, fighter aircraft, bombers, and other close air support (CAS) assets for more than 20 years in the conflicts in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Horn of Africa and other locations around the world in austere, dangerous wartime missions. The Vidar founders and staff come from a diverse post-9/11 background, hailing from the original MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper training programs which have been conducting this sort of training since 2008 at bases in New Mexico and Nevada. Vidar training crews draw their experience from other programs such as the MC-12W Project Liberty Program, contract CAS training, and a variety of military unmanned aircraft vehicle (UAV) programs in the U.S. and deployed locations.
